Prominent Cases and Highlights of Outcome
The firm has represented clients in high-profile cases such as the 2010 BP oil spill. The BP oil spill is the largest marine oil spill in history. It originated just off the coast near Louisiana. The firm represented numerous individuals and businesses along the Gulf Coast who were affected to some degree by the spill and its long term effects. Not only were they deeply affected by the inability to fish and crab in an area where these had previously been one of their primary sources of income. They were also hit hard by the decrease in visitors to the area, which reduced or eliminated their businesses.
Similar types of cases have included representation for clients affected by Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita and Hurricane Gustav. The firm engaged in significant negotiations with companies and insurance entities. The policy decisions that had been made created financial hardships for many. Anthony H. Murray, III
Together with his son Stuart, Anthony Murray has over 50 years of experience representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others, and he is recognized as one of the leading and most experienced personal injury attorneys in Louisiana. He is a longtime devoted member, almost whole life member, of the Louisiana Association for Justice, and has served on its Board of Governors for many years. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, an organization committed to protecting the rights of citizens through educating the public about the role of civil justice. He has been a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Club since 2004, which is a trial lawyers’ organization of fellow attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. In addition, Mr. Murray is currently the attorney chair of the Steering Committee for the National Association of Personal Injury Lawyers Class Actions Group, and he has been the state chair since 1995. He also served as Chair of the American Bar Association’s Multidistrict Litigations Committee from 1997 to 1998. Stuart B. Murray
Stuart Murray has dedicated the entirety of his professional career to representing plaintiffs seriously injured due to the negligence of other individuals or companies. Philanthropy and Community Outreach

In 2015, we joined the ranks of New Orleans’ non-profit organizations when we founded a non-profit called What would Jesus Brew? Ever since, we have been committed to serving the homeless and food insecure of New Orleans . Every other Saturday, we make breakfast burritos at the law office, load them in the Murray Law Firm mobile food truck, drive them all over New Orleans, and hand them out to hungry members of our community. Our next goal? To help repair old stoves and ovens in homeless shelters so that we can feed even more families every other week.
